Document Description
California Department of Fish and Game(CDFG) is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement 6-2001-197 pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Rancho California Water District. The applicant proposes to install a tie-in to the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, San Diego's Pipeline No. 5, and a new 20-inch diameter PVC pipe along an existing dirt road to end in an outfall structure near the Santa Margarita River. The outfall structure is a box-shaped design, with energy dissipation to release water during seasons of low flow. The CDFG jurisdictional area within the project area total 797 square feet of non-vegetated streambed, of which 63.4 square feet will be permanently impacted and 83.2 square feet will be temporarily impacted; project related effects to the CDFG jurisdictional areas total 146.6 square feet of non-vegetated streambed.
