Document Description
Reconstruction of existing parking lot, entrance road, and encroachment at Pygmy Forest to enhance safety and improve access. Repair existing pavement and replace areas of combined gravel/AC surface with asphalt concrete. Stripe parking area; designate handicapped parking. Permanently remove asphalted left turn lane. Work to remain within existing footprint and drainage patterns to remain unchanged; ground disturbance will be confined to previously disturbed area along the encroachment join line with the County road. Three trees (Bishop Pines - two already dead) will be felled to comply with County of Mendocino sight distance requirements of enroachment permit and left on site. Understory vegetation will not be disturbed.
