Document Description
The project includes the stabilization of a 900 foot section of the seasonal Tres Pinos Creek, San Benito County, Section 19, Township 13S, Range 6E. The proposed work is an attempt to reduce erosion and insure protection of an adjacent vineyard. The applicant proposes to attain these goals through a revegitation plan prepared by the NRCS. Only native willows and cotton wood sprigs will be used and all planting will be done by hand. The use of bamboo or other, non-native and detrimental species are not part of the plan. The applicant has no intention of using any species of vegetation other than locally collected willows and cottonwood sprigs. The area of work is normally dry, except during extremely high flows asociated with flooding episodes. Issuance of Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2000-1287 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
