Document Description
Inland Empire Utilities Agency will simultaneously perform two pilot projects, Elutriation and Aerated Static Piles, at the existing Co-Composting Facility. These 6-month studies will provide data to determine whether compost elutriation will work effectively to reduce compost salinity and whether the aerated static pile form of composting will work effectively to reduce odors. The intent is to explore alternative methods of composting to significantly reduce levels of odor and particulate emissions.
