Document Description
The project will involve the installation of piezometers at two locations on Metropolitan's San Diego Canal-Garbani Siphon and French Valley Box Siphon-for Canal level measurements. Installation at each location will include a steel beam spanning the Canal to support instrumentation, and a small enclosure adjacent to the Canal for electronic equipment (solar panel, batteries, and a radio antenna and transmission unit). The antenna will provide direct line of site to the west dam at Metropolitan's Diamond Valley Lake Reservoir and will be approximately 8 to 25 feet in length to meet this requirement. All work will be performed within the fenced right-of-way of the Canal.
