Document Description
The proposed project will involve the drilling of five 200' to 1,000' deep monitoring wells. Wells will be drilled using a large truck-mounted rotary drilling rig equipped with a mud pump. Drilling will occur during daylight hours only at drill locations within 200 yards of occupied dwellings. Additional support vehicles including a water tender, front end loader, pipe truck, and pickup trucks will be parked on-site. A pit to contain drilling wastes will be constructed adjacent to the drill site. With landowner's permission all drill wastes in the pit will be covered over and left on-site upon well completion. The purpose of the proposed project is to collect basic data on groundwater level fluctuations, monitor changes in groundwater quality, and conduct geologic exploration.
