Document Description
This project consists of the construction of a pipeline crossing over the headwater of Norton Creek and stabilization of two short reaches of stream with rock rip-rap. The project site is just south of Lytton Springs Road, approximately 1/2 mile east of Healdsburg Airport. The pipeline will be suspended over the creek above the level of top-of-bank. Supports for the pipeline will be constructed outside the creek channel. The two bank stabilization sites are each 35 to 40 feet long and cover an area of about 300 square feet each. A total of about 25 cubic yards of gravel bedding and 55 cubic yards of rock rip-rap will facilitate revegetation. Willow cuttings will be placed in the rip-rap, buckeye trees and native grasses will be planted at the top-of-bank, and the site will be irrigated as needed in the first year to ensure vegetation establishment. Fish and Game issued Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0197 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
