Document Description
The "House That Jack Built" is a historic resource identified for preservation in the CDF Heritage Resource Management Plan for Significant Buildings and Archaeological Sites. Its NHRP status code is 7, undetermined if eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. This project consists of those repairs immediately required to preserve the structure from serious deterioration. Repairs will be made to the foundation, subflooring, and ceiling. CDF is in the process of consulting with the State Office of Historic Preservation (SHPO) as required by PRC 5024. It is anticipated that SHPO will issue an approval. The work will be done in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconsructing Historic Buildings (1995) and governed by the California Historical Building Code.
