The project consists of widening Route 99 from four to six lanes by adding one lane in each direction between Route 4 (Crosstown Freeway) and Hammer Lane with ramp modifications at Fremont Street, Waterloo Road, Cherokee Lane, and the Calaveras River Overcrossing. The Hammer Lane interchange is to be reconstructed.
