The project consists of the repair of a 100-foot linear segment of the stilling pool in San Mateo Creek, near the Crystal Springs Pump House, east of Lower Crystal Springs Dam. The project includes installation of new riprap armoring along the first 27 vertical feet of the slope and reconstruction of an existing key-way to support new armoring. The project also includes the replacement of the top 12-inches of topsoil and revegetation of the reconstructed slope with native plants. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a lake and streambed alteration agreement number R3-2001-0260 pursuant to section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Calvin Huey/City and County of San Francisco.
