Document Description
The proposed project consists of an approximately 300-room hotel, 1.3 million square feet of Class A office space in five buildings, and two parking structures on a 23-acre site. Approximately 25,000 square feet of retail uses would be incorporated in the lobby of the hotel, along the pedestrian levels of the parking garages, and within a separate building. The Hotel building would be about 16 stories, and the office buildings and parking structures would range from five to 18 stories. The project proposal includes filling an isolated seasonal wetland on-site, and creating, enhancing and preserving a wetland off-site. In addition, Oakport Street would be realigned to the north to provide a contiguous site for Metroport. The applicant has reserved a portion of the site along Hegenberger Road for a BART station should BART's proposed Connector from the Coliseum Station to Oakland International Airport be approved and constructed. (The Connector is a separate project sponsored by BART.)
