The proposed project would consist of three major components that would provide new sport related facilities for students, faculty and staff, and that would provide new sport related facilities that would be used by UCSB intercollegiate athlectic teams. The proposed project components include: 1) An expansion of the existing Recreation and Aquatics Center, 2) The development of a new Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) Building, and 3) A technical amendment of the 1990 Long Range Development Plan to facilitate the proposed Recreation and Aquatics Center Expansion. A similar amendment to the Long Range Development Plan may also be required for the proposed ICA Building project.
