Document Description
The Estate of Albert Levinson (EOAL), proposes to develop a 38.7-acre site located along the west side of Brea Boulevard (formerly Brea Canyon Road), west of the Orange (SR-57) Freeway in the City of Brea's Sphere of influence. The proposed project, to be known as Brea Canon Estates, will include development of 98 single-family residences in two neighborhoods, open space, and oil production. The residential development will consist of a 91-unit "guarded" community with primary access from Brea Boulevard, and a 7-unit estate-lot "enclave" located along the proposed extension of existing Ponderosa Drive. The project includes 10.4 gross acres of open space, including approximately 8.8 acres of natural open space, 1.5 acres of landscaped open space, 0.2 acres for the proposed Brea Channel trail. Three existing operational oil sites under the ownership of Brea Canon Oil will be incorporated into the site design. The relocation and reconstruction of an existing gas plant from on-site to adjacent oil production lands owned by EOAL is also a project component.
