Document Description
Note: Per CA State Lands Commission acting as CEQA Responsible Agency. Proposal to amend CSLC Lease No. PRC 1980.1 to modify the existing Huntington Beach Generating Station Once Through Cooling (OTC) seawater intake and discharge (outfall) pipelines within the Lease area (the Project). The Project would install two "technology enhancements" associated with Poseidon's proposed seawater desalination facility at Huntington Beach: Modification of the offshore terminus of the seawater intake line with 1-mm wedgewire screens with a through-scree of 0.5 feet/second or less to reduce potential entrainment and minimize impingement; Modification of the offshore terminus of the seawater discharge line by addition of a multiport seawater diffuser.
