Proposal to amend CSLC Lease No. PRC 1980.1 to modify the existing Huntington Beach Generating Station Once Through Cooling (OTC) seawater intake and discharge (outfall) pipelines within the Lease area (the project). The lease Modification project, as approved, includes two technology enhancements associated with Poseidon's proposed seawater desalination facility at Huntingtin Beach: 1) Install four rotating brush-cleaned (self-cleaning) stainless steel 1-mm wedgewire screens on the offshore end of the seawater intake line (environmentally superior alternative), and 2) install a multiport diffuser on the offshore end of the outfall.
