Document Description
Los Angeles County Waterworks District No. 40-Region 4 (Lancaster), proposes to construct injection/extraction facilities for an Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) project in the City of Lancaster. The ASR project would inject treated State Water Project (SWP) water into the Lancaster Subbasin for subsequent recovery of the supplies during high demand periods or during drought cycles. The proposed project calls for the installation of 11 new wells and the modification of 4 existing wells. The project will also require the installation of pump/hydroelectric stations, pipelines and related facilities.
