Document Description
The proposed Consolidated Redevelopment Project entails: 1) adopting a new redevelopment plan incorporating additional area referred to as Project Area IV, and 2) merging the Agency's three existing redevelopment project areas including the Central Business District Project, Project Area II, Project Area III and the new Project Area IV into a single redevelopment project area referred to as the Consolidated Project. The adoption of the new Project Area IV will enable the Agency to renovate and rehabilitate aging commercial and residential areas of the City. The merging of the existing project areas and Project Area IV will decrease administrative burdens and add financial flexibility to the Agency, along with the revenues the agency can receive from the Central Business District Project Area. The 3,940-acre Consolidated Project Area includes 2,921 acres of Project Area IV and 1,019 acres of the existing project areas. The proposed Project is in accordance with the standards of the California Community Redevelopment Law (CRL), Health and Safety Code Section 330000, et seq.
