Document Description
The proposed Consolidated Redevelopment Project Plan encompasses the three existing redevelopment projects and adds sizable new area. The Project Plan also extends the deadline to incur debt and the timeline to use eminent domain powers, power which is limited to non-residential areas in Buena Park's redevelopment plans. The project also proposes to modify the financial limits for the resulting merged and amended redevelopment project. The three existing redevelopment projects are: 1) the Central Business District Project and its amendments, 2) the Project Area II and its amendments, and 3) the Project Area III and its one amendment. Added areas are approximately 2,458 acres in size (2,946 acres with streets and freeway), for a total of 3,050 acres in the Consolidated Project Area (or 3,955 acres with streets and highways). The proposed actions are all being taken in accordance with the standards of the California Community Redevelopment Law (CRL), Health and Safety Code Section 33000, et seq.
