Document Description
A Conditional Use Permit to allow a nonhazardous oil production and/or oily waste disposal facility. Development would entail the conversion of an existing oil well into a commercial injection well which would operate as a Class II disposal facility under a permit issued by the California Department of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (CDOGGR). Only nonhazardous Class II fluids approved by CDOGGR would be injected into the well. Fluids would be transported to the facility from area oilfield operations within a 35 mile radius of the site in standard oilfield tanker trucks. The fluids would then be off loaded into two existing 1,000 barrel storage tanks prior to their injection into the well via a line from the storage tanks. A maximum volume of 3,000 barrels of fluid would be injected down the well each day. The applicant estimates that associated traffic will consist of 5 to 10 trucks daily, with a lesser amount of traffic on weekends. No significant new construction is proposed. Modification and/or additions to the existing piping, storage or pumping equipment would be done when needed. A means of water supply and sewage disposal is not proposed.
