Document Description
The LADWP is proposing to install a new combined cycle generating facility (CCGF) at it's existing Valley Generating Station (VGS). The CCGF will replace four existing utility boilers, and include two combustion turbine generators, a new steam turbine generator, two heat recovery steam generators and associated selective catalytic reduction systems, cooling towers, and ancillary equipment. In addition, two new 20,000-gallon aboveground storage tanks will be constructed to increase the ammonia storage capacity at the site. The purpose of this project is to comply with SCAQMD regulations and improve power reliability within the LADWP's service area.
