The following measures comprise the restoration plan which will require grading of approximately 3600 cubic yards to:
1. Create 2.42 acres of new wetlands composed of 0.82 acre of riparian woodland, 0.34 acre of bulrush march and 1.26 acres of saltgrass grassland marsh.
2. Preserve 2.48 acres of existing wetlands and 0.44 acre of existing upland riparian woodland and blackberry thicket.
3. Create 0.40 acre of upland blackberry thicket and 0.60 acre of upland woodland.
4. Increase project-wide wetland and riparian functions by implementing the following:
a. Improve on-site water quality and retention through the construction of sediment control basins and swales that will filter sediment from the adjacent agricultural fields before run-off reaches the created or preserved wetlands and riparian areas;
b. Enhance, preserve and re-create upland habitat for the Santa Cruz-long-toed salamander and California red-legged frog by planting native vegetation and establishing a native plant buffer.
