Document Description
Under water right Application 30007, the applicant seeks to store an additional 107 acre feet (AF) of water per annum from an unnamed drain and surface runoff for the enhancement and restoration of 80 acres of seasonal wetlands. The previously-constructed projects includes two dikes, spur levees, water control gates, and nesting berms. Located within the footprint of an historical wetland, the upper reservoir is formed when seasonal runoff is impounded behind a small 4,350 foot long dike. Seasonal runoff collection and supplemental well water are used to provide nesting and brood habitat for migrating waterfowl, resident wildlife, and other associated wetlands species.
