Document Description
Mt. Hermon Road is a major arterial road providing east-west access from Highway 17 to Highway 9. The road is heavily traveled by multi-axle trucks accessing the quarry located in the San Lorenzo Valley through Scotts Valley. The heavy traffic load, especially repeated flexing of pavement by the sand trucks, have resulted in several areas, posing a danger to motorists and bicyclists using this roadway. To correct the roadway pavement, the City will be performing work to include, but not be limited to, saw cutting the failed areas and removing the existing pavement from the base to the subgrade depth. This may include re-compacting the subgrade and placing full depth asphalt.
