Document Description
The Department of Justice (DOJ) will lease approximately 66,381 square feet of an existing office building in Richmond. The proposed location is at 1001 West Cutting Boulevard in the City of Richmond, and was previously occupied. The space will be used as additional space for the DOJ Berkley DNA Laboratory and will include office space and training rooms for approximately 100 current employees. The DOJ Berkley DNA Laboratory serves approximately 25 customers per week, and would need 125 parking spaces on-site. The Lessor will provide a direct shuttle to the BART and AMTRAK stations. Chemicals will be stored at the site, and the laboratory space will contain fume hoods. The Department of General Services, Real Estate Services Leasing Officer shall ensure that the project complies with any regional and local air quality district rules and regulations.
