Document Description
The corrective action process for this facility has identified two areas which will require remediation due to the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil above levels considered protective of human health and the environment. The proposed remedial action, or corrective action remedy for the two areas is to excavate the soil and transport it to a landfill permitted to accept this type of waste. The two areas to be remediated consist of: 1) a fuel storage area found to have approximately 10 cubic yards of soil impacted with petroleum hydrocarbons, and; 2) a site adjacent to the former location of a soil storage tank found to have approximately 57 cubic yards of soil impacted with petroleum hydrocarbons. In total, approximately 67 cubic yards of soil will be excavated and transported to an appropriate approved disposal site. This is the final step required in the corrective action process to clean the site to standards appropriate for residential use of property. No further corrective action will be required for the site.
