Document Description
The State Controller's Office proposes to lease 43,507 square feet of office space to improve Human Resources Administration for the 265,000 state employees. This effort will replace the current automated payroll, employment, position control, and leave accounting systems with the most current hardware and software solution. The project staffing will increase from the current 42 to 180 at peak of the effort.

Reasons for Exemption
This project involves interior and minor exterior alterations of an existing facility. The interior alterations include partitions, plumbing, and electrical conveyances necessary to accomodate the States's Office needs and will not expand use beyond that previously existing. Exterior alterations consist of walkways and California Access code, Title 24 requirements.
