Document Description
The University of California, San Diego Medical Center (UCSDMC) Hillcrest proposes to proceed immediately with the repair of an existing university-owned 10" sewer line, which has recently failed, backing sewerage up into the basement of the hospital. The sewer line is located in the northern portion of the Hillcrest campus and is the primary line serving the main hospital building. Based on preliminary inspection of the problem, it appears that the line has collasped due to the weight of other utilities in the area and has also been damaged/blocked in another area by tree roots. The impacted stretch of pipeline is located under Dickinson Street and in the southern portion of the adjacent canyon.
