Document Description
The Operator will widen an existing bridge road deck by 13 feet 3 inches to accommodate two traffic lanes. The Operator will remove the old bridge deck and bridge deck support girders from the site. The Operator will reinforce and alter existing abutments. The east abutment will be heightened by 2 feet 6 inches. Both the east and west abutments will be widened by 10 feet 6 inches. Excavation in the creek banks will be necessary as part of the reinforcement of both abutments and fill will be placed outside abutment wingwalls on the creek bank. A new alignment of four hundred ninety three (493) feet of new asphalt roadway will be built on the east side of the bridge. Two hundred fifteen (215) feet of new asphalt roadway will match the exisitng alignment at the west side of the bridge. The Operator will revegetate the disturbed area.
