This proposed action will implement a component of the 1980 Point Reyes National Seashore/Golden Gate National Recreation Area General Plan Management Plan (GMP) with respect to the Wilkens Ranch. The GMP calls for public use of the facilities as an environmental education center. A preliminary proposal and background information to implement the GMP were circulated during the public scoping process for this project in November 2000.
