Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0276-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Caltrans as represented by Jo Ann Cullom. The project is limited to modify an existing US 101 to accommodate the addition of two 12-foot HOV lanes and 10-foot inside and outside shoulders in both the northbound and southbound directions. The majority of US 101 will hold its existing profile and widened within the median to accommodate the new HOV lanes, except for the segment that spans over the Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit railroad tracks. Within the segment, the roadway profile and vertical curve will be adjusted to accommodate standard stopping sight distance and design speed, while maintaining vertical clearance above the SMART railroad tracks. Retro-fitting will require the replacement of the north Petaluma Overhead. In addition to the overhead replacement, the existing Washington Street Creek and Lynch Creek bridges will be widened along the median and outside shoulders to accommodate the transportation improvements and modifications of the existing southbound off-ramp, northbound loop on-ramp and southbound diagonal off-ramp at the east Washington Street Interchange to accommodate the HOV lanes and shoulder widening.
