Document Description
The proposed project would include the installation of an absorption clarifier that would operate at a downflow rate of 9 gpm/ft2 prior to the existing filter room. The absorption clarifier would be located in an approximately 160 ft2 addition to the existing building. In addition, new instrumentation and controls would be installed for the entire water treatment plant. The new controls would include the installation of additional piping, flow meters and valves to allow backwashing of individual filters, control of filtration rates and measurement backwash rates.
