Document Description
The habitats subject to exotic species control efforts include tidal marshlands, lagoons, intertidal mudflats, and the saline reaches of creeks and rivers flowing into the San Francisco Estuary. Eradication/control efforts would be regionally coordinated with other programs in order to minimize disturbance to sensitive habitats and species, while successfully controlling invasive Spartina. The project intends to restore native plant communities and sensitive habitats and species, while successfully controlling invasive Spartina. The project intends to restore native plant communities and sensitive species habitats associated with tidal marshlands and intertidal mudflats along the Bay margins by eliminating introduced Spartina species. The control efforts and alternatives evaluated in the EIS/R will be consistent with the USFWS policies and goals.
