Document Description
The project may include a number of other waste management services including: 1.) A processing and storage area for recyclables (bottles, cans, paper, etc.) in preparation for shipping off-site. 2.) A household hazardous waste (HHW) collection, processing, and storage facility. A small building or lockable container surrounded by a paved area will likely serve this function (batteries, oil, paint, antifreeze and oil filters). 3.) A sewage sludge and septage processing center. It would consist of facilities for unloading the materials, processing/treating them, then redistributing them. Processing/treatment may include dewatering, lime stabilization, or composting. 4.) Facilities for incubating small business enterprises based on recycling and resource recovery. These may take the form of indoor and outdoor storage, processing, repair, and resale areas.
