The proposed project would: (1) improve campground and day-use facilities at New Brighton State Beach, including renovating campsites and replacing restroom facilities; (2) increase the capacity and level of service in the unit by constructing additional campsites along a new campground loop road, adding water/electrical service to new/existing campsites, establishing a visitor center, adding a sanitary dump station, and day-use parking improvements; (3) improve circulation within the unit by reconfiguring the entrance road, constructing a new entrance station, remove unneeded paving along loop roads, and providing camping check in/out at the existing ranger station; and (4) improve beach access/trails.
