Document Description
The Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District is proposing an operations and maintenance facility (MetroBase) to consolidate the majority of the District's bus maintenance, vehicle storage, and administrative offices at one location. The new facility is proposed to support 175-200 buses. The EIR/EIS will address two development options for the project, referred to as Option A and B. Under Option A, the proposed facility will be developed on the 20-acre Encinal Street site. Option B includes development of the western portion of the Encinal site (15 acres), and use of the District's existing River Street site (2.5 acres) for bus storage.
