Document Description
The project evaluated in the Initial Study prepared by theTulare Lake Basin Storage District is a proposed permanent transfer of 3,973 acre-feet of State Water Project annual entitlement from TLBWSD to Dudley Ridge Water District. Both TLBWSD and DRWD have long-term contracts with the Department of Water Resources for agricultural water service delivery from the SWP. Sandridge Partners, a landowner and farming operation in both TLBWD and DRWD has requested to transfer the SWP water entitlement associated with their lands in TLBWSD to their more productive lands in DRWD. In order to effectuate the transfer, it will be necessary to amend the long-term water supply contracts of these two agricultural contractors with DWR.
