Document Description
The Tulare Lake Basin Water Storage district (TLBWSD) proposes to transfer, on a permanent basis, up to 4,500 acre-feet of State Water Project (SWP) water entitlement to Dudley Ridge Water District (DRWD). Both TLBWSD and DRWD are agricultural water purveyors with water supply contracts with the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) for surface water supplies from the SWP. A landowner and farming operation (Sandridge Partners) owning land in both TLBWSD and DRWD has requested to transfer the SWP water entitlement associated with their land in TLBWSD to their lands in DRWD. Both the boards of directors to both districts have agreed to support the transfer of the SWP entitlement as requested by Sandbridge Partner.
