Document Description
Add to I-15 a southbound truck descending lane, widen 5 bridges and replace 2 bridges, and install permanent tortoise fencing throgh critival tortoise habitat area. The project as approved will result in impacts to the desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii), which is protected under the California Endangered Species Act. CDFG issued a California incidental take permit ("Permit") on May 1, 2002, authorizing impacts to desert tortoise and requiring mitigation of those impacts. This notice is being filed to inform the public that CDFG has approved a minor amendment to the Permit to extend the term of the Permit by two years, to December 31, 2005. This will allow the lead agency additional time to complete certain portions of the project.
