Document Description
This project involves the removal of an approximately 75+ foot high Coulter Pine tree with a trunk diameter of 5 feet that is located within County road right-of-way (ROW). The tree is diseased and dying (mostly due to natural causes) and there is no feasible method to reverse this condition. A survey of the tree indicates that its present location and deteriorating condition pose a potential threat to human health and safety. The object is to remove the tree and grind the stump to a depth of one foot below ground surface level, thereby eliminating an otherwise hazardous condition to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Pine Hills Road in the Julian community.
