Document Description
Operator, Terry Tremblay of Tremblay Construction, Inc., proposes to construct a subdivision along Cotati Creek near Water Road in Cotati, Sonoma County. The element of the project within the jurisdiction of the Department of Fish and Game is the replacement of an existing 24-inch culvert adjacent Water Road with a larger concrete box culvert. The new culvert will be 3 feet high, 12 feet wide, and 30 feet long. A small quantity of rock rip-rap will be placed at the downstream end of the concrete culvert to dissipate energy and slow the flow of water. Disturbed areas adjacent to the new culvert will be treated hydro-seed, mulch, and straw wattles to control erosion. Five 15-gallon size native oaks will be planted to mitigate the loss of the one 14-inch DBH oak which will be removed to allow culvert construction. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2000-1426 pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Terry Tremblay/Tremblay Construction, Inc..
