Document Description
The State of California, Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF), has constructed a new State fire station in the Saga area and will no longer be utilizing the old facility located at 37381 Sage Road. The buildings at this facility are owned by the State of California and the property is leased from a private land owner. The lease has been terminated and all existing structures, with the exception of two 10,000-gallon concrete water tanks, will be demolished by CDF fire crews prior to turning the property back over to the property owner. A certified, licensed contractor will remove and properly dispose of abestos material and CDF inmate crews will dismantle the buildings, salvaging steel and lumber materials. The remaining waste material will be hauled to a Riverside County landfill. The well will be capped and the septic system will be treated and filled. The soil will be regraded to match the surrounding landscape.
