Document Description
Variance to Kings Waste and Recycling Authority sponsored collection centers and participating generation from hazardous waste manifesting and transportation requirements. The variance is limited to the acceptance of and transportation of up to 55 gallon of agricultural used oil by Kings County agricultural growers. The collections provide appropriate means of disposing of hazardous waste. The variance is based on the evidence that: 1. Only generators participating in the agricultural used oil collection program will use this variance; 2. The used oil is taken to specified, equipped locations only; 3. The used oil transported by the generator or an employee in a vehicle operated by the generator; 4. The used oil is transported in non-leaking, intact, and sealed 55 gallon drums and marked per DTSC and DOT regulations; and 5. Proper shipping papers will accompany each shipment.
