The existing 1000 square foot community center would be demolished and replaced with a 2000 square foot structure. The community center will be used in the following programs/activities; community meetings and events, recreational programming, remote office for City staff, and storage of equipment and emergency supplies.

Reasons for Exemption
The project involves the replacement of an existing structure on the same site as the one that is being demolished. The new structure will not exceed 2500 square feet in floor area. Because of its smal size, the new structure is exempt from the CEQA pursuant to Section 15303. This Section provides an exemption for the construction and location of limited numbers of new small facilities not exceeding 2500 square feet.
