Document Description
The project involves the reconstruction/lining of the South Pond through regrading and/or installation of a liner to provide peak wet weather equalization storage during storm events. The District will construct the appropriate lining to meet the existing California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region waste discharge requirements for the El Dorado Lift Station Equalization Pond, including preventing wastewater contaminants from percolating into groundwater. The pond will be constructed, operated and maintained to prevent inundation or washout associated with a 100-year storm event. The District's construction contract documents will include protecting soil stockpiles, or other materials that can be blown away by wind, covering, or watering. It will also include washing affected paved areas at least once daily, in accordance with El Dorado County APCD Rule 223.
