Document Description
Replace the existing 1,200 foot, 20-span, Main Street Bridge over Cottonwood Creek with a 1,200 foot, 9-span, prestressed concrete girder bridge on the same horizontal alignment. Shoulders will be widened to meet AASHTO standards; however, the number of through lanes will not increase. Construction is anticipated over a two-year period and will be phased such that the bridge can remain open during the first year while the substructure is completed. A detour will consist of a 200 foot temporary bridge over Cottonwood Creek and will include two through, paved lanes. The detour will be removed upon completion of the new bridge.
