Document Description
The City of Petaluma proposes to improve the intersection of McDowell Boulevard and East Washington Street in Petaluma. Widening McDowell Boulevard requires the extension of the box culverts on Washington Creek by 35 feet upstream and 38 feet downstream of the intersection. The project will include excavation of approximately 650 to 750 cubic yards of material including old sacked concrete and rock rip-rap, removal of vegetation within the work area, placement of temporary gravel fill to create a work pad, construction of the culvert extensions, removal of the work pad, and replacement of rock rip-rap to control erosion downstream of the culverts. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0184 pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Mike Evert/City of Petaluma, Public Facilities and Services.
