Document Description
In the spring of 1999, the Pleasanton City Council appointed a Downtown Specific Plan Committee with the primary task of preparing recommendations for updating the 1989 Downtown Specific Plan. The 13-member Committee formulated recommendations by employing subcommittees to address the following matters: land use, transportation and parking, parks and trails, historic preservation, design and beautification, and economic vitality and community events. The Committee's final recommendations report was adopted in December 2000. The draft Specific Plan (and associated General Plan amendments) are scheduled for completion by the City early this year.
