Document Description
The proposed project is for the County to purchase/acquire approximately 1.915 acres of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power land in order to construct the proposed Lone Pine Film History Museum. The newly created parcel for the Museum will be made up of parts of two existing parcels. As the General Plan and the County Zoning Ordinance currently exists, this new parcel will have a split zoning. The front part of the newly created property is zoned C-2-1 O-D (Highway Services and Tourist Commercial - 1.0 acre minimum-Design Review Overlay) and the rear 3/4 of the parcel is zoned OS-40 (Open Space-40 acre minimum). The updated General Plan proposes a PF (Public Facilities) designation for the newly created parcel. After the new General Plan is approved, the Planning Department will process a rezoning on the entire property to an appropriate zoning designation.
