Document Description
The roadway improvements are planned by Fort Ord Reuse Authority (FORA) for Imjin Road and segments of Blanco and Reservation Roads in the northwesterly portion of former Fort Ord. The purpose of the roadway and utility improvements is to: 1) provide adequate roadway capacity to mitigate future traffic impacts resulting from the buildout of the Fort Ord Base Reuse Plan (BRP) at 2015 and consistent with the City of Marina General Plan; and 2) upgrade the roadways to current safety standards and improve the present level of service (LOS). The planned improvements vary by roadway segment, but generally include roadway widening, intersection and signal improvements, paved shoulders/bicycle lanes, curbs, median islands/planting strips, bus stops, and underground utilities within the pavement section.
