To modify the dam, a central portion will be excavated and replaced with an open outlet structure. The Project will reconstruct a pilot channel for the San Ysidro Creek within the debris basin using the stream simulation method. Post-project monitoring will occur to evaluate the effectiveness of the modification for at least five years. The Project will result in 0.45 acre of impacts through the grading, dam removal, channel construction, and stream reconfiguration. No trees will be removed as part of the Project.
